Shapes, Finishes, and Photography Styles

I'm all about the matte brushstrokes lately, so I'm excited to try those soon. Also exploring different feet and shapes for these glasses and tumblers. Drippy, glossy glaze is so sexy though, and having fun with more unusual shapes would be interesting. Patterns too, I'd love to paint on the pieces one day. Also seeing all the different ways ceramics are photographed. Seamless white is too stark for me, so still in the gray, subtle textures, subtle shadows camp. Outdoor photos, I'm finding a little too distracting (and contrived?), but I'm liking the touches of nature (plants, flowers, wood) as styling props. Also loving the warmth that comes with a potter holding her own creation.
